Meet & Greet

In 1890, Johannes Brahms—then 57—had resolved to retire from composing. But upon hearing the remarkable clarinet playing of Richard Mühlfeld, he was profoundly moved and inspired. This unexpected spark reignited his creativity, leading to some of the most intimate and expressive music of his later years, including chamber works, a poignant song cycle, and solo pieces for piano and organ.

We invite you to experience this late flowering of Brahms’ genius with Fabio Di Càsola (clarinet), Thomas Grossenbacher (cello), and our artistic director, Or Re’em (piano), on Sunday, June 29 at 19:00 at Kulturhaus Helferei. An Apéro will follow the concert—an invitation to your own late encounter.
